When does my cover start?

Your Domestic Appliance Guard plan starts on the day your application is accepted. However, there is an initial 30-day period where you cannot make a claim. This is to prevent pre-existing problems and to keep our prices low.

What if I have a plan elsewhere?

It is very easy to switch. If you would like to join us when your current cover ends, you can delay your start date, usually without paying any exit fees. You should be able to cancel and switch to a Domestic Appliance Guard care plan. For more information, please call our sales team on 0800 802 1411.

How much is the excess?

Excess is the amount you’ll pay for every completed repair. You can choose the amount of excess you’d like to pay when you buy your cover. Our excess options are £0, £60 or £95. If you have a £0 excess, you won’t pay any excess for a completed repair.

If you have a £60 excess, you'll pay £60 for every completed repair. If you don't have a repair, you won't pay any excess.

What are your response times?

In the event of an emergency (an uncontrolled water leak for example), we aim to have someone with you within two-four hours. For other faults, we will do our best to have someone with you on the same day if you call before 9.00am or within 24 hours of your call.If a vulnerability is established we would aim within 2 hours. In the event of a gas leak please call the National Gas Emergency Service on Freephone 0800 111 999.

How much is the call out excess?
